REBELS RACING ANNUAL EVENTS

Throughout the season Rebels host a variety of Annual Events, click below for more info.

ANNUAL PRESENTATION EVENINGS

The Rebels Presentation Evening is renowned for being the social event of the year on the Rebel Calendar. The annual event takes place in January and we celebrate a full racing season of Champions and winners. There is always plenty of silverware on offer to many drivers and an evening of drinking, eating and dancing continues late into the early hours of the following morning!

The past two years this event has taken place at the Village Inn, Chilwell, Nottingham and they have hosted two fantastic evenings. The 2008 Presentation date will be announced mid season and tickets will be on sale from then on.

If you couldn’t make it to this year’s event, here is a list of the lucky winners.

WORLD WIDE REBELLIONS

The Rebels World Wide Rebellion is THE race of the season. The gold top event is a huge spectacle and every year a vast amount of effort behind the scenes goes into making this one meeting superb.

This year the gold will return to the shale after a seven year break away from the softer surface.

The date is set – Saturday 6th September

The venue – Coventry International Motorspeedway.

This will be the Rebels 450th meeting and what an event it is going to be. Already we have plans underway to make this event special and the eight qualifying rounds are going to be tough this year as the number of owners have increased and there are only 38 qualifying grid slots.

There will be one qualifying round at each track we visit prior to the World Event and the highest points scorer will take to the pole and led a long line of rebels around for their parade lap. Foreign Entrants will take to rows three and six (possibly nine if we have three guest drivers) The race itself is twenty laps and a rolling start – can Adam Rubery hold onto his crown for 2008?

There will be lots more information added to this page during the race season as we build up to this major race event so click back soon.

STOCK MARKET

23rd NOVEMBER 2008 - NIR

The first ever Stock Market took place at Northampton International Raceway on Sunday 8th December and was a great success for both buyers and sellers and every year it has grown and become bigger and better. Over the years an assortment of race cars of been sold along with an abundance of spares plus transporters and plenty of traders busy selling the wares. Lots of bargains have gone to new homes over the years and we have already had enquiries for Stock Market 08.

The general idea of a Stock Market event if to allow drivers to empty their workshops of items that they no longer require but that may be perfect for an up and coming race driver to start their career with. This is the ideal opportunity to kit out your garage at a cheaper price. Not only are cars on offer but workshop equipment, race trailers, transporters, plenty of trade stands selling all types of race kit to merchandise stands.

Throughout the year more info will be added to this page regarding the Stock Market 08, however keep the 23rd November free in your diary and start putting saleable items to one side ready for you to make a few pennies before Christmas!

OVERSEAS EVENTS

2008 - ISLE OF MAN

Rebels are returning to Onchan Stadium, Isle of Man after a two year break. We always receive a fantastically warm welcome from the Manx crew and we are looking forward to the 08 invasion.

Adam Rubery will be defending his Sword of State and he is determined to make it a hat trick. The World Champion is exceptional around this oval however this year he may be faced with a lot more competition as the general interest regarding this trip is very high. During the season we will be updating this page with drivers who have booked their place for the Manx adventure.

FORMAT

There will be two meetings at the Onchan Raceway – Thursday 7th August & Saturday 9th August – Start times 7.45p.m. Practice from 7.00p.m. Please arrive by 6.00p.m.

There will be four races at both meetings and the Manx Grand Prix will be decided on Saturday nights Feature. The points from Thursday evening and Saturday’s heats will determine the grid for the main event. The main event will be a 2-2 grid format and not a 2-3, however it will still be a clutch start.
